In 2021 we were privileged to be the Men’s and Ladies Captains’ charity of the year at this superb parkland golf course, just minutes outside Exeter city centre.
YMCA Exeter empowers young people in their time of need to reach their full potential in body, mind and spirit. We provide services in Supported Accommodation, Health and Wellbeing and Skills and Enterprise as well as working in the communities around the city. In service since 1846, we are one of the oldest YMCAs in the world.
Malik, one of our residents in our most recently opened housing project says, “I used to have my own flat in London, but problems with my mental health meant I ended up being evicted. It’s been a few years but it’s really good to move into Sidwell Studios. It’s so nice to have my own space. I’m on the top floor and can see the football stadium from my window!”
