A team from Exeter City Council has been working throughout the night assisting with a co-ordinated response to a major fire at Devon Contract Waste, located on Marsh Barton Road.  Fire crews from across Devon and Somerset have been in attendance.

Exeter City Council Building Control are on site monitoring the situation.  Businesses located on Marsh Barton may be affected with reduced water pressure and being unable to access to their premises.

Refuse collection crews from Exeter City Council started residential and commercial collections from 8am, if you have a missed collection this will be collected within the next few days. 

The cordon has been reduced but currently includes Exton Road, Marsh Green Road North and Marsh Barton Road from the junction of Trusham Road to Exton Road.

Stagecoach are operating a diverted service which includes the Matford Park and Ride.
