Opening in Plymouth in July 2021, the Market Hall is a world-class space for digital innovation and learning situated in the heart of Devonport.
Home to an awe-inspiring 15m immersive dome – the first of its kind in Europe – the Market Hall offers experiences at the cutting edge of immersive tech.
Open to everyone, and with a wide range of events and experiences for all the family, the dome invites you to explore immersive realities without the need for a VR headset.
The Market Hall will also offer educational immersive experiences and workshops for all ages and abilities.
Alongside mind-blowing immersive experiences, the Market Hall will also provide inspiring co-work space for all kinds of creative, digital and immersive businesses; the heart of the region’s emerging immersive tech ‘cluster’.
The flexible spaces at the Market Hall will be the perfect spot for working, making, meeting and learning and, with the addition of a cafe/bar area, will cater for your every need from a healthy break with a barista coffee, to a delicious lunch with friends or colleagues.
You’ll even be able to grab a glass of wine and enjoy an immersive dome experience after your day in our workspace.
The development of the Market Hall is led by Real Ideas, working with Plymouth City Council and a number of key organisations and institutions in Plymouth and beyond.
These include Plymouth University, City College Plymouth, Plymouth College of Art, Plymouth Culture, Creative England, Destination Plymouth, Digital Plymouth, Oceansgate, Crowdfunder, as well as support from Arts Council England, DCMS and ERDF funding.
