Devon Chamber of Commerce has welcomed one of the UK’s leading flexible energy infrastructure developers and operators as a Patron.
Statera Energy develops, owns and operates infrastructure that provides critical balancing services to the UK electricity grid, helping provide the flexibility the grid needs to stay reliable.
The company utilises a range of technologies to do this, including battery energy storage, flexible generation and pumped storage hydro.
With more than 6GW of consented projects, over 2.2GW operational or under construction, and a pipeline of around 16GW across the UK, Statera is playing a central role in the country’s energy transition.
In Devon, Statera is currently developing Exeter Storage, a 290MW battery energy storage project. Once operational, the project will be capable of providing flexible power equivalent to the needs of up to 940,000 homes.
As a Chamber Patron, Statera is keen to build relationships with businesses across Devon and create opportunities for local companies to participate in the UK’s energy transition.
