Helen Wylde-Archibald Appointed CEO of Devon Chamber of Commerce

The Devon Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Wylde-Archibald as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 6 October 2025.

Helen brings a wealth of leadership experience spanning strategic consultancy, governance, digital innovation, and regional transformation. She previously served as CEO of Cornish broadband provider Wildanet Ltd, where she led the company through rapid scale-up, and is currently Co-Founder of South West AI Solutions Ltd.

A seasoned Executive and Non-Executive Director, Helen has advised organisations across a wide range of sectors and growth stages. Her career includes senior roles at Lumo, Parcelforce, Lloyds General Insurance, ADT Tyco, O2, Vodafone, and the Transport Systems and Connected Places Catapults.

Originally from the South West, Helen is a passionate advocate for regional business and economic development. Her remit as CEO will focus on driving business growth and opportunity across the whole of Devon – ensuring that businesses, wherever they are based, feel connected, supported, and represented.

Helen said: “I’m honoured to lead the Chamber at such a transformative time. My focus will be on co-creating bold, inclusive strategies with our members, partners, and communities – ensuring Devon thrives as a national exemplar of resilience, connectivity, and impact.

“The Chamber represents a powerful, collaborative platform that champions inclusive growth, innovation, and stewardship across the region. I look forward to working with everyone to ensure Devon’s businesses are the best they can be.”

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for the Chamber, following the landmark merger of Exeter Chamber and Devon & Plymouth Chamber in October 2024.

This strategic unification created the fully accredited Devon Chamber of Commerce, now recognised by the British Chambers of Commerce as the official voice of business for the entire county.

The Chamber is deepening its commitment to inclusive growth, cross-sector collaboration, and sustainable innovation, offering members access to more than 100 networking events each year, enhanced promotional opportunities, and a growing range of business support services.

Richard Stevens, Chair of Devon Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Helen as our new Chief Executive. The Chamber exists to give businesses across Devon a strong and supportive voice, and Helen brings not only a wealth of experience but also the personal qualities to connect with people and communities right across the county.

“This is a pivotal moment in the Chamber’s journey, and we are confident that under her leadership we will continue to grow, champion our members, and make a real difference to the prosperity and vibrancy of Devon’s economy.”

Helen will work closely with the Chamber Board, Place Boards and partners to shape a bold new strategy that connects businesses across the county and champions Devon at local, national and international levels.
