Gallery: Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Awards 2023

Our Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Awards 2023 at The New Continental Hotel in May provided an unforgettable night of celebration as we honoured the county’s leading businesses and entrepreneurs.

The food, hospitality and entertainment was simply incredible, and it was fabulous to see so many people dressed to impress at what has become one of the most prestigious events in our region’s business calendar.

A huge thank you to our Chamber Awards partners – Azets, Classic Builders, GA Solicitors, Marsh Commercial, Plymouth Citybus, University of Plymouth, Westcotts Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers, Wildanet and YGS Landscapes Ltd – as well as the talented team at PL1 Events for their support on the night.

We were welcomed on arrival by friendly staff, drinks and tasty canapés. Then, after a delicious three-course meal, which was provided by the amazing team at The New Continental, the time came to present our Awards.

Our unsuspecting winners were revealed throughout the ceremony by our hosts, Nadine Mashingaidze from the University of Exeter and Fresh Air Studios’ Paul Philpott, who kept everyone entertained throughout. See a list of all our winners and finalists below and here.

All the regional winners from our eligible categories will now be automatically entered into the National British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Awards.

We were also thrilled to welcome a number of winners from this year’s 30 Under 30 campaign, in partnership with Babcock International Group. Meet all our winners here.

After the ceremony, guests danced until the early hours to live music by The Harry Peanut Show.

Stuart Elford, CEO of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber, said: “A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The New Continental in Plymouth, and to each and every Chamber member who submitted an entry for this year’s Awards.

“Picking the winners was an incredibly tough decision for our panel, with so many of our members enjoying great success over the last 12 months.

“Our glittering event also recognised the winners of this year’s 30 Under 30 campaign, in partnership with Babcock. The next generation of business leaders is something we desperately want to encourage and discuss – how we create those leaders and equip them with the skills they need. Our 30 Under 30 programme – with the associated networking and mentoring – is one of the ways we’re trying to do this.

“Our Awards dinner was a truly fabulous night of celebration and we can’t wait to welcome you all again next year. Lastly, a special thanks to all our Chamber patrons and partners, without whom events like this would simply not be possible.”
