Devon & Somerset LSIP launches new survey to identity industry skills shortages

Devon & Somerset Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) is calling on businesses in four key industry sectors to complete a short online survey to gain a better understanding of the skills and training required regionally.

Focusing on the construction, manufacturing, digital and creative and health and social care sectors, the survey will identity the skills that Devon employers feel are lacking in the workforce to help shape future skills provision from education and training providers.

Ronnie Carter, LSIP Executive & Projects Manager at Devon Chamber of Commerce, said: “We want to capture as many voices from these key industries as possible to better understand the skills needed to help businesses thrive and grow.

“Taking part in our sector survey will give us the data we need to ensure the right skills and training is available in the region.”

“When employers and education and training providers work together like this, we can properly address the current and future workplace skills requirements and ensure increased productivity in the fast-changing economic landscape in Devon.”

Individuals who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win a £400 high street voucher.
