An additional vaccination centre will open at China Fleet Country Club in December 2021, continuing the UK’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Saltash-based Club first became a vital vaccination centre earlier in the year and trained NHS staff and volunteers administered just under 89,000 first and second doses of Coronavirus vaccines, in just a few months.
The China Fleet Vaccination Centre will see NHS staff and volunteers leading the roll-out for South East Cornwall.
Marketing Manager Debbie Lyons said: “We’re so proud to be able to offer our space again so that more of our community are able to get their COVID vaccines and boosters as quickly as possible.
“One of our top priorities is the health and wellbeing of our community, so for us it was an easy decision to make.”
More than 40% of adults in the UK have already had a booster vaccination.
In a televised address to the nation on Sunday, December 12, the Prime Minister said the aim was to get one million people a day vaccinated.
“It’s great that we can help play our part in this new target,” added Debbie.
