A special celebration event was held at The Royal Citadel in July 2025 to recognise the 25th anniversary of the Plymouth Area Business Council (PABC).

The weather was just perfect for enjoying the stunning views across Plymouth Sound, while enjoying a sparkling welcome drink on the battlements.

We were honoured to be the guests of RSM Stefan Spink in his Sergeants’ Mess for the delicious barbecue and to hear from him, Richard Stevens (PABC Chair) and Annette Stone on behalf of our event partners, Azets.

Some 160 PABC members and guests attended the evening and it was wonderful to see many of the younger generations – our future leaders and PABC members – mingling with our longer-term members.

Later in the evening we were entertained with live music from the incredibly talented band Get Wicked (courtesy of PABC’s own Dave Meadows). Some of us older members were still throwing moves on the dance floor right to the end!

Thanks also to Chris Davies, who came out of DJ retirement to provide upbeat background music while we all ate, drank, and networked animatedly, with lots of uplifting and interesting conversations taking place throughout the evening.

We are particularly grateful to our 25 Year Anniversary Partner, Azets, for supporting this milestone event and combining it with marking a successful three years in their Plymouth office.
