Ten years ago, our Managing Director Murray Ross established Avalon from a kitchen table in sunny North Devon, setting out to provide a professional built environment practice in the south west.
The company has gone from strength to strength ever since, incorporating expert heritage and archaeology services to provide a multidisciplinary approach, and working on some amazing high-profile projects, including Burgh Island, Winslade Manor and Oldway Mansion.
In 2023 we launched our new website, and expanded our existing portfolio, with offices in Exeter, Bristol and London, to include a new office at Alma Yard in Plymouth. We were also able to support local and regional events in our sector, including the Michelmores Property Awards and the Design West Stirling Prize Lecture.
Now the biggest provider of planning and heritage advice in the south west, we are immensely proud of how far the Avalon has come in the last 10 years, and are looking forward to experiencing the next chapter in the growth of the company!
