Exeter is set to benefit from a new prime location business park following the purchase of 45 acres of land that offers easy access to the South West’s road network.

Exeter Estates, headed up by Tony Rowe OBE, has purchased the land behind its current site, West Exe Business Park, formerly known as the Peamore Truck Centre, in Alphington.

The entire site has potential to offer 60 acres of commercial land which Mr Rowe intends to turn into a business park for companies that wish to operate on the edge of the city.

He said: “The location of this land gives businesses swift access to the M5, A38 and A30. Businesses in the centre of Exeter have to battle with traffic every day. We hope with newly acquired land will offer a favourable, alternative business location.”

Exeter Estates is working with Exeter City Council and Teignbridge District Council to secure necessary planning consents. Planning permission has already been granted to develop 12 acres immediately south of the West Exe Business Park.

The West Exe Business Park already offers flexible and affordable workspace from modern warehousing to serviced and self-contained offices and cost-effective storage facilities. Clients benefit from an on-site management team and a range of integrated services, including a petrol forecourt, retail shop, secure compounds and commercial parking.
