Plymouth Argyle Football Club is a proud Patron of Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.
The city’s leading football club was founded more than 130 years ago and is based at Home Park Stadium.
Nicknamed the Greens, the club’s first team currently plays in League One of the English Football League under manager Steven Schumacher.
Our Chamber’s exciting partnership with the Pilgrims also shines the spotlight on Argyle Community Trust, the Devon club’s official charity, which uses the prestige of football and the reach of the Greens to inspire, engage and help people of all ages to achieve their full potential.
The Trust has a clear vision, along with its national partners, to be an active, inspirational and inclusive community hub for the South West.
It also runs the Plymouth Argyle Women’s Team, who play their matches under manager Ryan Perks at Manadon Sports and Community Hub and occasionally at Home Park.
As part of Argyle’s patronage, the Chamber is also proud to be the Official Women’s Team Digital Partner.
“People from the Chamber will tell you that it’s a family, and it’s really clear that this is a family. We’re all here to help”
Why did you join the Chamber?
Elaine Dalton-Fyfe is the Women’s General Manager at Plymouth Argyle Football Club.
She says “The Devon & Plymouth Chamber has helped us to raise the profile regarding women’s football.
“You almost can’t put a price on the value of a membership because of the exposure with the members of the Chamber.
What has the Chamber done for your business?
Elaine says: “People from the Chamber will tell you that it’s a family, and it’s really clear that this is a family. We’re all here to help.
“So, if you’re not a member of the Chamber, then I would strongly recommend, in order to succeed in business, we become a family.”
