Plymouth-based IT and unified comms provider Acronyms are looking to build on a successful year of growth in Exeter.

Following a recent spell of recruitment, which saw the company expand across three of its teams, the company invested heavily in internal software and an improved brand identity. It is all part of the company’s long-term ambitions of opening an office in Exeter.

Managing Director and co-founder of Acronyms, Dave Smith believes that the city is a natural marketplace for Acronyms.

“We’ve steadily been growing our client base in Exeter for the last few years and this has allowed us to reinvest heavily in our own business. As Exeter continues to grow and flourish, we believe there will be more opportunities across the city, and we can certainly see ourselves opening an office in Exeter in the near future.”

Acronyms provide businesses with IT infrastructure, IT support and unified comms such as VoIP telephony systems and it is hoped that the improved brand identity, which accompanies this investment will help improve their presence within the city.

Marketing Manager Frazer Lloyd-Davies explains how the brand improvements have been designed to build upon Acronyms’ founding ethos – to sell the correct solution – whilst making the company more recognisable.

“We’re very proud of the work our company does, but it’s fair to say that we haven’t always been the best at promoting ourselves. We’ve focused heavily on the technical aspects of the job and whilst that’s crucial when working in technology, it means that we’ve not always kept up to date with image. We believe that this new look changes that. First and foremost it makes Acronyms more recognisable.”
